Biography
With over 15 years of experience in the coffee industry, specifically in coffee commercialization, she holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration. This background has led her to be responsible for price negotiations, contracts, and coffee exports.
Throughout this time, she has witnessed significant changes across various sectors of the coffee industry, including production, cupping, processing methods, commercialization, and their impact on producers, exporters, buyers, traders, and roasters.
When she first entered the coffee world many years ago, there were hardly any women working as cuppers, traders, or processors. That is why she takes great pride in one of the most positive transformations in the industry: the active inclusion of women in every stage of the coffee process, from the farm to the final cup in the consumer’s hands.
For this reason, being a founding member and part of the Costa Rican chapter of the International Women’s Coffee Alliance is a source of great pride and satisfaction. She has seen young and inexperienced women grow into administrators, farm owners, processors, expert cuppers, roasters, and exporters. These women have shared their experiences internationally, all thanks to the support and knowledge exchanged among an extraordinary group of women.
