Biography

Located at Carrizal on the Central Valley region of Costa Rica, Finca El Quizarra is a Volcanic Terroir of 17,5 ha.

The coffee cherries of Finca El Quizarra are harvested at 1400 masl on the Barva volcano slopes and are hand selected at full maturity during the months of November to February.

Finally, they are carefully depulped, dried and classified at Beneficio Jardin de Aromas located on the estate coffee plantation.

Cup profile
The coffee plants grown on Carrizal‘s volcanic soil, produce high quality and density grains which once roasted, excel their natural attributes: Enjoy a fine citric acidity of orange zests and pleasurable notes of almonds, vanilla, sugar cane, caramel and apricots.
Average Annual Production
46 tons of green coffee beans.
