Our journey in coffee started in 2013, buying a small farm in Cañuelas, Naranjo. After many years of living in the United States, I yearned to go back home to Costa Rica and pursue the dream to live and work on a farm producing specialty coffee to export direct trade to roasters in the USA.

At the beginning we knew very little about farming and the coffee industry, nevertheless; we embarked on the adventure to learn and conquer the challenges ahead. We started from the ground up, planting and caring for each plant; doing every task with love; thus establishing the production and export of Café con Amor (Coffee with Love).

The dream became a bigger mission than expected, an opportunity to create a larger positive impact was born.

In 2015, Farmers Project Specialty Coffee, LLC was founded with the goal to reach sustainability for our farms and profitability for the direct model of export as producers. We are a unique group of women and small producers, exporting high quality beans to the USA and Canada, together as a team.

We value Direct Trade relationships with our customers. Ours is a long term vision, believing in loyalty, quality, honesty. Our motto is: "Respect for the land and respect for the people”.
