Claudia, Annette, Alana & Marie Sachs

Our names are Claudia, Annette and Alana and we are three Costa Rican sisters, third-generation coffee lovers. We created a small specialty coffee roasting business looking to support and empower Costa Rican women coffee producers.

Our grandpa, Dieter, migrated to Perd from Germany with the purpose of starting his life after WWII. He started to work in the coffee world and, years later, moved to Costa Rica to create his business to commercialize green coffee. The company is still active and is managed by our father and uncle, who continue with the family tradition.

We grew up in the fascinating world of coffee and decided to create this project with a different focus. By realizing the gender inequality and lack of opportunities for women in the coffee industry, we decided to join women and listen to their stories.
